πŸ‘‹ Welcome to Funraise

This article covers everything you need to get set up and start collecting donations today. You can generally complete setup in about 15 minutes.

If you've received an invite to join your team in an account that is already set up, you're good to go! You might want to start by editing your user profile.

Setup your account

1. Enter your organization's information

In most cases, you will have already entered this information during the initial setup steps. It's a good idea to double-check that your organization's name, address, and EIN are correct because this information can be displayed in your donation receipt emails and in the footer of donation pages.

2. Connect your payment processor (Stripe and/or PayPal)

In order to receive donations online through Funraise, you'll need to connect your payment processor. Your payment processor will facilitate transactions and deposits into your bank account.

Stripe is a payment processor that facilitates online card payments. You can create or connect a Stripe account in Funraise.

PayPal is a payment processor that facilitates both online card payments and PayPal Wallet transactions. You can create or connect a PayPal account in Funraise.

In most cases, we recommend connecting both Stripe and PayPal.

3. Customize your Giving Form

Giving Forms can be added to your website to collect online donations or sell tickets. It's a good idea to match your form's colors with your brand and add a logo or custom thank you message to your donation receipt email.

We recommend using the default settings to get started. You can always come back and edit the settings or design at any time.

Add a Giving Form to your website

Now it's time to add a donation form to your website! There are many ways to add a form to your site, the method you choose will depend on your website platform and your skill level.

Link to a Giving Page (Easy)

Giving Pages are customizable donation landing pages that have a direct link that can be added to buttons on your website. This is the easiest way to collect donations with Funraise. Learn more by watching the Giving Pages video tutorial.

Embed a Giving Form on your website (Moderate)

Funraise's Giving Forms can be embedded directly on your website. Working with the embed code requires basic HTML knowledge.

Custom code configurations (Advanced)

Web developers who prefer to skip to the chase can jump into our developer docs for best practices and advanced options.

That's all for now!

That's everything you need to get started with Funraise. When you're ready to learn more, we suggest taking a few courses at Funraise University where you can watch video tutorials that cover more ways Funraise can work for you.
