Building on our momentum as we approach the year-end giving season, Funraise's September product release notes are chock full of great news—our product and engineering teams are continuing to release improvements that will have a real impact on your end-of-year giving season.

Thanks to everyone who has submitted feedback at Funraise's Product Roadmap; several updates this month represent highly requested improvements.

New this month

Apple Pay on Campaign Sites & external websites

Apple Pay can now be activated on Funraise Campaign Sites 🎉 and some external websites with embedded Giving Forms. Previously, Apple Pay was limited to Funraise's Giving Pages. You'll need to contact our team to activate Apple Pay for any new websites.

Please note: At this time, it is not possible to add Apple Pay to Squarespace, Webflow, Weebly, or Wix sites. It may be possible to add Apple Pay to WordPress, HubSpot, or other websites.

Abandoned donation notification

The abandoned donation notification popup was released to all organizations this month. With this feature activated, when a donor abandons their donation (closes a Giving Form before completing their donation), a small notification popup will appear in the lower-left of the donor's browser window encouraging them to continue with a one-click option to re-enter the donation flow, right where they left off.

QR Codes for Sites and Giving Pages

Released to all organizations this month, QR Codes can now be generated for Giving Pages and Campaign Sites.

Create & Edit fundraiser pages in platform

Released to all organizations this month, you can now create and edit individual or team fundraiser pages from the backend of the platform. At this time, you can edit page details, but team membership is not yet editable in platform. Stay tuned. 😉

Hubspot Integration (Beta)

Promoted to beta this month, Funraise's HubSpot integration enables you to send Supporter and Transaction data to HubSpot with an automated sync when a Transaction or Supporter is created or edited in Funraise.

Donors Cover Fees—Dynamic Slider (Beta)

This feature is in a closed beta. A new Donors Cover Fees experience, based on feedback from many organizations, includes a fee amount range slider that enables a donor to edit the amount of their fee coverage, as opposed to a binary checkbox.

Housekeeping

Fundraising Intelligence will experience a read-only maintanence window between January 24-31

This update will only impact the Fundraising Intelligence section of the platform. During this read-only maintenance window, you will not be able to create new reports or dashboards or edit existing reports or dashboards. Reports and dashboards that you create prior to this window will be accessible and will continue to be updated. After the maintenance is completed, you will be able to continue to create and edit your reports and dashboards as normal. We recommend pre-planning time to create any reports you may need during the maintenance window.

Reminder—Sunset of PayPal Here card reader

For organizations using Funraise's app to collect in-person payments, we'll be ending support for the PayPal Here card reader on September 30, 2022, in favor of Stripe's M2 card reader. Learn more about purchasing and connecting a Stripe card reader.

Reminder—Apple Pay and recurring payments

Due to credit card network (e.g. VISA/MasterCard) changes that were contributing to an increase in failed payments for recurring Apple Pay payments, we've turned off the ability for donors to create new recurring donations with Apple Pay. Existing recurring donations using Apple Pay have not been changed. Our team is monitoring this change with the hopes of soon reactivating recurring functionality for Apple Pay.
