New features and product updates

This month, we're diving into summer ☀️ with a splash 💦 of event features, including some most requested features: Promo Codes and Ticket Bundles. We're also delivering an impressive Event Live Display for the big screen and even giving away free wealth scans. What a month!


What's New

Events | Ticket Promo Codes

Promo codes enable your guests to apply discounts to their ticket purchases. Each event can have multiple promo codes, which can be configured to apply a percentage or fixed amount discount to specific tickets.


Events | Live Display

Live Display is designed for the big screen. Broadcast your event progress and donations as they come in. Each event has a Live Display screen and you can customize your display design and access your fullscreen display URL.


Events | Ticket Bundles

Create Ticket Bundles to include multiple registrations for a single ticket. When creating a ticket, enter the number of registrations that should be included for each ticket. For example:

  • For a general admission ticket, include 1 registration.

  • A sponsorship ticket might include multiple registrations. For instance, a table sponsorship ticket might have 10 registrations included.

  • A pickleball team ticket might have 2 registrations included.


Events | Ticket Limits

Limit the number of this ticket that can be purchased in a single transaction. This functionality was previously available via a form embed code configuration, this improvement allows you to set a limit without code.


Events | Removal of "This ticket is for me" checkbox

Giving Forms with tickets previously displayed a checkbox allowing a guest to select: "This ticket is for me" during the checkout flow. While this checkbox was helpful to increase checkout speed, it caused confusion for some ticket purchasers. Thanks to your feedback, we've removed this checkbox to provide a more clear and standard registration flow on ticket forms.


SMS, Emails, Wealth Scans | Usage costs updates

In July, we're simplifying and lowering the costs of usage-based features by including a healthy amount of free usage each month! This update enables your team to do more with Funraise within your current plan and budget.

Here's what's changing:

  • Send up to 50 SMS messages each month, without any usage costs

  • Send up to 5,000 campaign emails each month, without any usage costs

  • Get up to 50 successful wealth scans each month, without any usage costs

On the Roadmap

As we shared last month, event functionality is a primary focus for our product team. The release of promo codes, ticket bundles, and the event progress live display are just the beginning! Stay tuned for more event features and enhancements as we work towards a more intuitive event suite that truly solves live event workflows.

Link policy or waiver pages to the text in a checkbox question to facilitate collection of guest confirmation of event policies.

Transactions | ACH instant bank verification

Through Plaid, donors will be able to log in to their bank to authorize ACH payments—a modern option for donors that prefer not to enter bank account numbers.

Transactions | Stripe fees visible in platform

Stripe processing fees will soon be visible directly in Funraise. A new chart on transactions will provide greater transparency into donor fee coverage and per-transaction costs, along with helpful context like Net Amount and fee efficiency.

You'll see improvements to event registration reporting for easy-to-run event lists and more seamless connections with Supporter data.

Invite gala guests to raise bidding paddles at tiered giving levels. Facilitate speedy donation pledge collection and live donation processing.

This improvement makes it possible to configure dynamic Giving Form amount rules based on frequency in the form editor, no code required.
