In our March release notes, we've got something for everyone! The big news: Funraise's donor portal is now available in a web experience. We've also got a few enhancements to make your life easier and we're previewing Funraise's next big feature launch: Donor wealth and prospecting data ✨

What's New

Donor portal (web)

The donor portal is now available as a web browser-based experience. Donors can log in to access their information from give.funraise.org.

Mark transactions as anonymous

Transactions can now be marked as anonymous from the transaction profile. No need to use the import tool to make this update πŸŽ‰

Checkbox answer type

Custom questions now have a new answer type: Checkbox. This new answer type enables you to collect opt-ins or a simple confirmation with a boolean checkbox.

Fraud mitigation improvements

We've updated Giving Form reCAPTCHAs to provide you greater control over where reCAPTCHA appears. Along with Funraise's automated dynamic reCAPTCHA feature, reCAPTCHA can now be manually activated for a particular Giving Form.

We've also improved our general fraud mitigation toolset, enabling Funraise's fraud team to activate universal or organization-specific fraud-blocking rules based on real-time patterns of fraud activity.

API β€” Update Supporter

The public Funraise API is continually being enhanced with new endpoints to better support custom workflows and partners that are building custom apps to interact with the Funraise platform. New endpoints include: Update Supporter, Interactions, and Forms.

Profile page navigation updates

Record profiles for supporters, transactions, registrations, and more have been updated to a page rather than a flyout. This navigation improvement allows records to be accessed directly with the record ID in the Url.

Coming Soon

Donor wealth and prospecting data

Funraise has partnered with Kindsight (iWave) to make donor wealth and prospecting data available inside Funraise. This feature will make it possible to scan an individual supporter or a filtered list of supporters to discover data that reveals a donor's capacity to give and their likelihood of giving to a cause like yours.

Donor prospecting data in Funraise will empower development teams to work efficiently, targeting the right message to the right donor at the right time. We're excited to help fundraisers answer fundamental questions about your donor base:

  • Is your next major donor hidden in our database?

  • Do your major donors have more capacity and motivation to give?

  • Do any of your major donors give to other organizations like ours?

  • Are any of your major donors at risk of churning?

  • Which donors are showing low engagement and need stewardship?

This is one of the more exciting features we're working on. Stay tuned!

Additional donation data for supporter filtering

We'll be adding a few additional data points to help you build smarter supporter segments. These data points will soon be available when filtering your supporter lists:

  • First donation value

  • Most recent donation value

  • Largest donation value

  • Largest donation date

Volunteer Management with POINT

Funraise and POINT have partnered to provide a native integration that enables high quality volunteer management in POINT with automated data syncing to Funraise. This integration is currently in development in a collaborative effort between Funraise and POINT.

Unique opt-in for SMS

SMS communication will soon have a unique opt-in on the Giving Form and this consent status will be available on the supporter record. When sending SMS messages, Funraise will require positive SMS consent. This new opt-in feature will also respect carrier level consent updates, like when a supporter texts your number with STOP or YES.

Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud

Funraise's Salesforce integration is being enhanced to seamlessly support Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud.

Improved supporter merge screen

We're improving the supporter merge screen to display more and helpful contact information so it's easier to understand which supporters you're merging.
