Connect a Stripe Bluetooth card reader with the Funraise App to conduct in-person payments

Purchase and connect the Stripe Terminal card reader to your mobile device

New to the Funraise app? Start here.

You’ll use a Stripe Terminal card reader (Stripe Reader M2) to collect in-person payments through the Funraise App. Card readers use Bluetooth technology to connect to your device.

Purchase a Stripe reader device

You can purchase a card reader from Stripe. You'll need Stripe's Stripe Reader M2

  1. Log into your Stripe Dashboard

  2. Click Payments > Readers > Shop

  3. Purchase the Stripe Reader M2

Connect a Stripe reader to Funraise App

You'll need to first activate Stripe Terminal in Settings.

  1. Turn ON the card reader device

  2. Open the Funraise App

  3. Open the side menu and tap New Transaction

  4. In the top bar, tap Reader

  5. Select the card reader you would like to pair

Below are the screens you'll see to configure each payment.

Enter a payment amount

Payment details

  • Select or add a Supporter

  • Select a Giving Form

  • Select a Campaign Site (optional)

  • Mark as anonymous (optional)

Time to swipe the card!

Swipe or insert the card to finalize the payment.

Please note: Contactless payments (tapping the card or digital wallet) is not possible at this time.

Confirmation

You'll receive a notification that the payment was conducted successfully.

Good to know

  • You’ll need Bluetooth enabled on your device

  • Make sure your Bluetooth reader batteries are fully charged before your event
