If you have recurring payment methods running in Stripe, in most cases, you can migrate them to Funraise. If you're just getting started with a recurring subscription migration, start here.
The process for securely migrating your payment data from Stripe is based on how your data is currently stored: either in a Stripe account you manage or a Stripe account your previous platform manages.
If you manage your Stripe account
If the payment method data is in a Stripe account managed by your organization, you'll want to initiate the data migration request with Stripe directly using their secure migration request form (You'll need to be logged into your Stripe account to access this form). When completing the form, you can use the following selections:
After completing the form, Stripe will follow up via email. Please CC support@funraise.org
on any future correspondences with Stripe regarding this migration, this helps our team work efficiently with all parties.
When Stripe completes the export you'll receive an email with the encrypted credentials and file names for the secure transfer. Please email these details to support@funraise.org
(or share them on the support request for this migration if you've already opened a request).
If your previous platform manages your Stripe account
If the payment method data is in a Stripe account not managed by your organization but is managed by your previous platform, you'll want to reach out to your previous platform to initiate the migration request with Stripe. We recommend reaching out to your previous platform with the following template.
