This month, we're excited to share a few time-saving enhancements and a recurring-revenue-boosting update. We're also sharing a more detailed look at what we're working on—hint, it's a seamless live event suite.
What's New
Giving Forms | Default frequency selection
Set forms to open with 'Monthly' selected as the default frequency from the Payments tab of the Giving Form editor. No code configuration needed. Any frequency can be set as the default.
Transactions | Improved date field usability
You can now type a date when entering offline transactions. A small-but-mighty enhancement that we know will save hours.
Giving Forms | Improved Giving Form editor
The Giving Form editor has been updated to improve consistency across in-platform editors. This update makes it easier to navigate to and make changes in a specific area of the form. No more hidden validation errors 🎉
Transactions | More accurate status for ACH payments
ACH transactions now show the live status of the payment so that ACH payments in Funraise will match what you see in Stripe. As ACH payments can take time to clear, they will be created in a Pending status until Stripe finalizes the payment. Once the payment is finalized, the status will be updated to Complete.
This update improves the accuracy of reporting and logic between systems, but it has some consequences that are good to be aware of:
Because the transactions list is defaulted to only show Complete transactions, you may have ACH transactions that are being created but not immediately appearing on your transaction list. You can adjust filters to see all transactions.
Because only complete transactions appear on Campaign Site progress bars, ACH payments will appear on progress bars or donation feeds only after the the payment completes.
On the Roadmap
We've got a lot of highly-requested and exciting features in the pipeline. It's going to be a fun next few months.
You'll see that event functionality is a primary focus. While we have a great list of event features we're working towards, our vision is not just launching event features, but building an intuitive event suite that truly solves live event workflows. From ticketing to paddle raises to reporting, we're planning to launch live events in a whole new way.
In fact, next week Funraise is hosting a weeklong company working session on events. Our entire team will be working with our customers and getting deep into event workflows and opportunities. You'll be hearing more about this in a big way very soon; for now, here's what's known and on the roadmap.
