DAFpay is here 🎉 Our most exciting update this month is a new payment method for DAFs (Donor Advised Funds) and just at the right time—enabling you to activate DAFpay for DAF Day (October 9th, 2025). We've also got a few other helpful features and improvements including supporter delete, content moderation, and a preview of some fun features we're currently working on.

What's New

DAFpay

DAFpay is now available! Accept DAF donations directly on your website or Campaign Site with the new DAFpay payment method. This native integration with Chariot, the team behind DAFpay, is available for all plans.

Delete supporter records

You can now delete supporter records from your platform. We've made it easy to delete a supporter with a quick action that manages all the additional behind-the-scenes record management required when this action is taken.

Content Moderation

We've added automatic content moderation to peer-to-peer fundraising pages to ensure your community stays safe and spam-free. Content moderation is already active, and you can configure the strictness of the automated moderation.

Volunteer data fields

Several new fields have been added to the supporter profile to help track volunteer details. Volunteering fields can be manually updated to track basic details and link to an external volunteer system where you manage volunteer data.

New fields:

  • Volunteer Profile URL

  • Last Volunteered Date

  • Total Hours Volunteered

Coming Soon

Improved tag management

Supporter and Transaction tags are a popular tool for organizing records in Funraise. We’re enhancing tag management with a fresh visual update that make tags easier to scan and a new universal tag search making it easier to reuse common tags.

Unique opt-in checkboxes for email and SMS

Currently, forms include one checkbox for both email and SMS communications. Soon, supporters will see separate checkboxes, allowing them to choose one or both channels.

If your organization does not yet have SMS functionality, your supporters will not see the SMS opt-in checkbox.

⚠️ Required for organizations with SMS functionality:

As of October 7th, Terms of Service and Privacy Policy URLs will be required to show the SMS communication opt-in checkbox. Without these links, supporters will not be able to opt in to SMS communications on your forms.

To add your policy links: Access Settings > Text-to-Give > A2P Compliance Requirements

Increased filtering capability

New filtering will be introduced in Giving Forms, Email Campaigns, Events, and Sites, making it easier to quickly search through lists.

Dynamic amounts based on recurring frequencies

Today, having dynamic Giving Form amount buttons based on the recurring frequency selected requires configuration of the form code. You’ll soon be able to set dynamic Giving Form amount rules based on frequency in the form editor, instead of configuring them with code.

Sponsorship tickets

Today, one ticket always represents one registration. We’re developing a new ticket type that allows one ticket to unlock multiple registrations—ideal for sponsorship packages that include a table of guests.

Reminder

Enhanced Log In Security

Today, Funraise's Two-Step Authentication is an optional layer of security. We'll soon be requiring multi-factor authentication for all users. As a part of this enhancement, we're introducing an email authentication method for those who prefer email over an authenticator app.

As we roll out this new requirement, you may be required to set up Two-Step Authentication before logging in. Don't worry, it's easy—and it's an impactful additional step to ensuring the security of your donor's data.

Funraise is a PCI Level 1 certified service provider, the highest standard possible for payment processing service providers. This enhancement builds upon our commitment to the security of your data.
