What is an in-kind donation?
Gifts in kind, also referred to as in-kind donations, is a kind of charitable giving in which, instead of giving money to buy needed goods and services, the goods and services themselves are given.
👍An in-kind donation can be managed just like any other “offline” donation.
To add an in-kind donation:
From Transactions, click New Transaction
Under Payment Method, select In-Kind
Enter the Donor estimated value of in-kind donation
Enter the Description of in-kind donation
Add a Supporter
Add a Giving Form
Click Save
There are two unique fields required for an in-kind donation:
Donor estimated value of in-kind donations
This is where you can enter the value of the in-kind gift, as estimated by the donor. This value can be hidden or shown on the donation receipt email.
Description of In-kind donation
This is where you can enter a description of the in-kind gift. This description will appear on the donation receipt email.
