If you are migrating data from another platform that hosts Peer to Peer Fundraising Campaign sites, I've got great news for you-- we can load all of your historic fundraiser and team data into Funraise. That means you'll always have access to the important information about your All-Star Online Fundraisers! ūüŹÖ

The process is simple, but will require some data organization from your team. You'll need to compile three separate .csv spreadsheets: One for donations/transactions, one for fundraisers and one for teams. 


1. Download transaction, fundraiser and team data from your previous online platform

Chances are the column names from your previous platform are different than ours.
Inform your Customer Success Manager of the name of your previous platform if you are having trouble matching the column headings, and they will be able to help you.


2. Organize data for Funraise templates

First, download the Funraise migration templates: 


You won't need to fill in all of the columns, however, in this case more is definitely better, so try not to delete any information.


The donation migration template is identical to the historic data migration template with one addition: External Page ID.  External Page ID correlates to the Page ID that will be included on the other templates, and is one of the ways we forge connections between your transactions and your fundraisers/teams.

In the donation template, the following fields are required:

*Either first name or institution name
*Either form name or external page id
*Either email address, physical address or supporter external id

The fundraiser migration template is all about your individual fundraisers. In this spreadsheet the following fields are required:

*Either first name or institution name
*Page External Id
*Page Name
*Goal
*Campaign External Id
*Campaign Name 

The teams migration template connects your fundraisers to the teams they joined. In this spreadsheet all of the fields are required:

*External Id
*Name
*Goal
*Campaign External Id
*Campaign Site Name 


3. Send us your completed migration templates.

Email the the completed .CSV to your Customer Success Manager. It can take 4-8 weeks to review and migrate your data. 

  • If edits are needed, we will respond with instructions.
  • We can wealth screen your fundraiser and donors during the migration process as well, so be sure to let us know if you would like this! We recommend it.¬†
  • There are fees associated with data migration and wealth screening, just let us know if you have any questions.

4. Give yourself a pat on the back and wait for our team to load all that dynamic info into your platform!
